Meet the team that makes seeing your future a reality. Our Franklin Careers Team is made up of a brilliant set of individuals including three Level 6 qualified careers advisor who all share one vision – giving you the tools to create the career you aspire to.
What can you expect from the careers team?
One-to-one career appointments, impartial careers guidance and support, work experience opportunities, onsite career activities, access to lunchtime drop-in support sessions (CV and cover letter writing, personal brand creation on LinkedIn, UCAS support and interview tips and advice). Plus, a weekly information-packed careers newsletter.
You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in a structured timetable of events and programmes that maximise your chances of career success by enhancing curriculum-based activity. You’ll hear us talk about enrichment a lot. It’s all the good stuff that develops your social, personal and employability skills alongside your studies, bringing the career of your dreams into scope.

Far from being simplistic, however, our Careers Programme is based on robust guidance. The eight Gatsby Benchmarks are at the heart of what we do, defining career programme excellence. At Franklin, we’re committed to achieving all eight benchmarks so that, in line with the Careers guidance and access for education and training providers, all our young people have the best start to their working lives.
Based in our Centre for Professional Development, our Careers Team is led by Emma Swinburn, Level 6 Diploma Careers, Guidance and Development and joint Careers Lead with Zofia Ciopcinski, Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser.
