Sports Leaders and Humberston Church of England Primary Celebrate Cup Win!

Our Sports Leaders and the boys' football team at Humberston CofE Primary celebrated winning the much-anticipated final of the Ramsden Cup at Bradley Pitches. After months of training and playing challenging matches against Old Clee Primary Academy and Signhills Academy, the team went on to take the title with a 3-2 victory against Humberston Cloverfields in the final.

The Sports Leadership Academy is run as part of Franklin's Personal and Professional Development (PPD) programmes, which is tailored to our student's future aspirations and interests. Through PPD, students are given the opportunity, to take part in memorable experiences, make new friends, and build their confidence. The Sports Leaders run several sporting events with local and primary schools alongside the region's School Sport Partnership.

The partnership with Humberston CofE primary has grown over the past year and has continued to flourish, seeing the year out with the fantastic Ramsden Cup win. Year 5/6  Humberston CofE teacher Miss Randall expressed her thanks to the Franklin staff and the Sports Leaders for coaching the boys for the Ramsden Cup matches, commenting: "The headteacher, the staff, and especially the boys of Humberston CofE are all extremely appreciative of the time and effort that everyone has put into weekly training sessions, as well as attending every game. The staff and Franklin coaches have provided the boys with exceptional coaching, knowledge, and passion. Their dedication, expertise, and unwavering support have undoubtedly played a significant role in our team's growth and success, and their ability to inspire and motivate the boys is truly commendable. It's evident that they genuinely care about their development. We are incredibly fortunate to have them."
