Franklin Sixth Form College announce new Principal and CEO


We are delighted to announce Wendy Ellis, our previous Interim Principal, has officially been appointed the Principal and CEO of Franklin Sixth Form College. Wendy takes over from Peter Kennedy, who has been in position at Franklin for the past six years, providing tireless dedication and service to the College, guiding it on a journey of growth and success.


Wendy brings a wealth of experience, having previously held key leadership positions in the education, charitable and industry sectors. Her previous roles highlight her exceptional leadership, passion for education, and ability to lead with vision and compassion.


While serving as Interim Principal, Wendy has demonstrated her dedication to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all students, a commitment recognised in Franklin’s recent Ofsted report, where a rating of Outstanding was awarded.

 

Alex Baxter, Franklin’s Chair of the Corporation, said:

We look forward to even greater successes in the future, as we know she is absolutely committed to maintaining and further developing our outstanding credentials. Wendy, we know will not only serve our students and staff but also our whole community, as the College plays a direct role in making North East Lincolnshire an area in which we can all continue to be proud."

 

On her appointment, Wendy commented:
