Franklin holds first Creative Conference in Partnership with Create North East Lincolnshire and the University of Lincoln

Franklin holds first Creative Conference in Partnership with Create North East Lincolnshire and the University of Lincoln.

We recently held our first Creative Conference, an incredible first-of-its-kind event for the region, in collaboration with Create North East Lincolnshire and the University of Lincoln. More than 150 Year 10 students from across the region joined our own Franklin students for an exciting day with some of the most inspiring creatives from across the local area and beyond.

The conference featured hands-on creative workshops and interactive sessions across a wide range of creative areas, introducing students to graphic design, advertising, comedy, acting, animation, music, puppetry, dance, and so much more. Students had the opportunity to attend a range of talks, including one from Lloyd Griffith, a well-known actor, comedian, and classically trained singer.

Wendy Ellis, Franklin's Principal and CEO, said:

"Hosting the conference is of huge importance to us. We were delighted to see so many young people from across the region join us along with our students. The event was to inspire students to go on to careers in the creative industries, and we are extremely fortunate to have so many creatives from across the industry with us for the event. Creative subjects are so important, they bring such a wide range of skills and opportunities for our students in an industry worth over a billion pounds annually. "
