Our Health and Social Care and Early Years Team recently celebrated yet another student completing their work placement at local nursery provider, Little Twinkles. The Early Years Industry is considered a fulfilling and rewarding career, and we take great pride in our provision, the accomplishments of our students, and the strong partnerships we've fostered with local employers. T Level Early Years student Saskia is the latest student to benefit from the partnership and is one of many students to successfully undertake work experience with the nursery.
Since Twinkles opened its doors in 2017, they have worked closely with Franklin, providing numerous work placement opportunities for our students. Former Franklin student and Little Twinkles Childcare Manager Victoria Braithwaite has been paramount in the partnership with Franklin, welcoming many students over the years to the nursery. Victoria said: "We have enjoyed working with Franklin, working together to welcome a number of students for work placement. We have observed these students delivering effective practice and learning during their time with us and as a result, we have employed four students who have either completed Health and Social Care or Early Years courses at Franklin.
Victoria added: "These students are now valuable members of the Little Twinkles team. They have demonstrated best practices, including effective communications, strong partnerships with parents, positive teamwork, and overall quality teaching of the children within the setting.
