With a career as a Paramedic spanning over 40 years, Nick from East Midlands Ambulance Service now spends his retirement doing what he loves - inspiring future generations on careers in the Ambulance Service.
Nick delivered sessions to students from curriculum areas such as Uniformed Protective Services to Health and Social Care, who were able to find out about various careers in the ambulance service, from administration and finance to working on the frontline as a Paramedic!
Nick answered questions from students and staff and even brought a fully stocked paramedic bag which students had the opportunity to lift (if they could manage it). Students were also given detailed information on the various routes to becoming a Paramedic and the soft and hard skills needed to thrive in the role.
