Our drama students recently visited Hull New Theatre to watch a live performance of Edward Scissorhands.
For some of our students, this was their first time watching live theatre, with the experience giving them a better understanding of acting through song, dance, and movement. Being exposed to live theatre will also help the students plan and coordinate their upcoming assessments more effectively and expand their knowledge and skills in performance.
As part of their course, the students will be assessed on ballet, and watching a dance-based production such as Edward Scissorhands will help them improve their character development on stage. Additionally, watching other actors perform to a large audience is a skill they can incorporate into their own performances in the future.
