Develop your knowledge and understanding of the Health & Social Care sector and gain essential industry skills whilst retaking one or two of your GCSE qualifications. This course is an excellent foundation for progression onto our Level 3 Health & Social Care course.

Course Content

Studying Health & Social Care at Level 2 will introduce you to the structure and function of the body, the range of services the industry offers, giving you an insight into the essential employability skills required to work within it, and look at the importance of supporting individual rights for those in health, social care, and early years settings. You’ll also explore verbal and non-verbal communication and specialist methods such as British Sign Language, Makaton and Braille. Step out of the classroom with an exciting work placement where you can choose from a variety of different settings. Throughout the course, you’ll develop self-confidence and academic study skills, supporting you with further progression, such as moving onto Level 3.
