Course Content

As not all Fashion & Textiles students have studied Fashion and Textiles at GCSE, the course introduces core skills. You’ll explore stitch, print, pattern, garment construction, 3D construction, needle felting, and fashion illustration, along with undertaking personal thematic fashion and textile projects in a supportive studio environment. You’ll also showcase your work at fashion shows and have the chance to take part in trips and visits to exhibitions. The course regularly brings in guest speakers, including Our Big Picture, Stylist Emily Jones, and film director Jack Spring, to name a few. Prior study of an art-based course at GCSE is required, or you can provide a portfolio of creative work.
