I studied music, music technology and graphics at Franklin College and went on to study music technology at Leeds Metropolitan university. When I graduated I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. I was introduced to the idea of teaching English abroad by a friend. I studied for a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I have always been interested in Japan, so decided to move there after applying for and being successful in obtaining a job teaching English. I've been here almost a year and it is amazing. I'm studying Japanese and I can 100% say that the best way to learn is to immerse yourself in the language as much as possible. Keep studying and if you get the chance to live in another country, do it, nothing to lose but so much to gain. I teach children ranging from 4 - 12 years which is a great experience.
